Do you want to learn to drive in an automatic car rather than a manual? Are you having trouble learning to change gear or pull away from junctions? Rookie Driver has the answer: Automatic lessons. An automatic car has no clutch and the car changes gear for you leaving you to concentrate on steering and only two pedals, the accelerator and the foot brake. Both of these pedals are operated by your right foot only and your left foot is not used at all.

You have much more time to concentrate on the road and surroundings without worrying about getting the car into the correct gear and controlling the clutch. It is also impossible to stall the engine when you are moving off making getting out of junctions much less stressful!

Automatic cars are more expensive to run than manual cars which is reflected in the cost of the lesson. If you pass your test in an automatic car you will only be allowed to drive an automatic car.
